We only have about 800 students in our dorms, and are currently using the
original UConn scanner. We haven't seen the first problem with this setup.
Even with 5,000 users I would imagine your setup will be overkill, but
better safe than sorry. I don't have any experience with the Nessus scanner
with NetReg though.
