Michael,
Sorry to hear about the problem.
I'm too paranoid to allow NetReg to write directly to my dhcpd.conf so I
made some changes and have it write to /dhcpd/hosts.conf.new, it gets
checked by refresh-dhcpd(thingie), and copies it to /dhcpd/hosts.conf.
This file is included in the /etc/dhcpd.conf by the line
include "/dhcpd/hosts.conf";
Also, I have it log all the registrations into /var/log/register.log, which
was made possible by modifying the register.cgi script. It logs the
date/time of the registration, username, computername, Pre-registration IP,
and MAC Address.
Let me know if you want the details of that and I'll cut them outta my
file.
