Hello --
I've been looking into NetReg for a few days, and I'm somewhat confused
by one thing:
Is NetReg designed to run on the general DHCP server? i.e., it uses
ISC DCHPD to pass out "bogus" leases that point to the broken DNS
server. Is there a mechanism that I'm missing, that passes the request
to a different DHCP server once the client has registered?
My institution has an investment in DHCP servers that run under Win 2K.
What I need to do is have something like NetReg answer and IF the
client has registered, pass their DHCP request to a "real" DHCP server.
Thanks,
Aaron Bennett
