First off, I downloaded NetReg last week and we're gonna use it here at
Evergreen starting at check-in on the 17th. We're all pretty excited
about it, we've been wanting to do DHCP for ever (previously we had to go
to everyone's room to have them agree to the useage agreement and then
assign them a static IP adress) and this made it really really simple.
I added a Telnet authenticate method as we don't use POP and I wanted
some more flexibility. All in all, the scripts were very well written
and easy to understand...
My question, has anyone made an admin screen that generates a report of
DHCP clients by platform based on the information stored in the
dhcpd.conf file? One of the more interesting stats we could generate
from our old FileMaker based database was the number of Macs vs. PCs.
I couldn't find any free code on the web (I didn't look that hard) that
parses user agents.
thanks a lot!
