We are putting in a wireless network in one of our buildings and would like
students to be able to register both their cabled network card and a
wireless network card. We would like them to only be able to register
twice total.
The problem is this:
Our means of disabling students when they violate our computing policy, are
guilty of copyright infringement, or are known to be sending out viruses is
as follows:
* If we can find their mac address in the hubs we disable their port on the hub
* This doesn't stop them from switching jacks with their roommate so we
also zero out, i.e. 00:00:00:00:00:00, their mac address in the dhcp server
so that when they try to access the internet they are an unknown client but
can not register again because their user id is already in the dhcpd.conf file
Is there a way to make a "group" in the dhcp.conf file of adapters to deny?
Any help would be greatly appreciated.
Jonathan
