Does anyone have any experience with Vernier or HP wireless access
switches? These boxes have an interesting feature for DHCP. It uses an
unassigned /30 network of 42.0.0.0 and gives each client a subnet of 4
addresses ( one for client, one for broadcast, one for network, and one for
gateway-which is the access switch itself). I could see this being a help
for netreg by killing all broadcast traffic to other network PCs. True,
the NetReg box, or something else would have to route traffic. Does anyone
have an idea how this is implemented?
