It's not implemented in Netreg 1.3 but it IS implemented in Netreg 2.0.

It's called "expiry", and every host record has it.
It is a "date stamp" on the host record that identifies when it's valid
till, so that if it's in the past, then the host is NOT registered, and if
it's in the future the host is registered.
The default expiry for hosts that are not otherwise given one is 5 years.
There is also the ability to lock-out or ban a machine, so that when it's
"unregistered" it is not allowed to be re-registered.

Subject
NetReg: time-limited reserves

Hello everybody

We wants to give time-limited ip reserves to our users; by example, let
user1 to reserve for 1 month but
let user2 to reserve for 6 months, and so on (the user should reregister
again after that period)

The mechanism would be like: a dailly cron who'd append the old reserves
from dhcp.conf to a dhcp.conf.hist
and who'd delete those reserves from dhcpd.conf (the cron
refresh-dhcpdconf will restart th service afterwards)

I don't know if may be someone of you have implemented some script to do
that.

Thanks in advance,

      Francisco Orta
