I wish I could think of an error, but that would involve apache not throwing the 404 before redirecting you to the error document / page. when MSIE gets the 404 message, it stops listening to apache and says its own 404 message that we have all seen... that is the problem... try and open up www.anything.com/whatever.html in a netscape or non-msie browser and you will find that it works...

        Hmmm...I was hoping for something that we wouldn't have to touch
on the client machines...that's pretty much the problem, in and of itself.
        Thanks though...no one seems to be able to see any problems with
what I've got below. Odd.
