Make's me wonder who's running NetReg on the lowest powered machine. (Kinda
of a Friday afternoon question)
2300 students on a PII-233, 64 megs of ram, and a 2gb disk. (previous life
was a paperweight)

No issues to report with Solaris 8. I used ISC BIND without any problems.
The rest of the packages were generally stock as the install instructions
recommend. I compiled Apache with modules 'expires' and 'headers' so the
pages weren't cached by browsers.
A big machine isn't necessary, it's just DHCP with glue after all. We're
using a Sparc5 (110Mhz 4m cpu ) with 96MB RAM to serve 3300 students. I've
got lotsa spares :)
