I have NetReg 1.3rc2 installed running on RedHat Linux 7.3 system. I
am getting a 500 Internal Server after I hit the accept button on the
registration page. When I checked the Apache log file at
/usr/local/apache/logs/error_log, I found out the following error:
Undefined subroutine &Mail::POP3Client::inet_aton called at
/usr/lib/perl5/site_perl/5.6.1/Mail/POP3Client.pm line 203.
This indicates to me that the Mail::POP3Client module has a problem. I
not sure why, I did not run into any problems with previous NetReg
installations. The only difference was that NetReg was not running on a
RedHat 7.3 system. Below are NetReg's Requirements and the software
distribution versions:
NetReg 1.3rc2
ISC DHCPd (dhcpd-3.0pl1)
ISC Bind 9 (comes w/RedHat 7.3)
Apache (apache_1.3.26)
Perl 5.6.1 (comes w/ RedHat 7.3)
libnet (libnet-1.12)
Mail::POP3Client (POP3Client-2.11)
SSH ( comes w/RedHat 7.3)
Even though the registration script (register.cgi) has a problem due to
the POP3Client module, all other aspects of NetReg seem to work fine.
DHCP, and Bind work perfectly. The Admin.cgi script works fine, even
though there are no leases to display. Functionality wise, it works.
Even the dhcpdctl and refresh-dhcpdconf scripts work fine.
Hopefully someone can point out what my problem is? Thanks for the help.
