HELP...
I'm attempting to set up a NETREG box. I have loaded Linux and now I'm at the
point in the instructions to tell my DNS (Cisco's Network Registrar)
server that the Linux box is
a BOGUS Server. Does anyone know of a way in the CLI to make this
happen? Also, on another subject,
Do I have to have all the students switchport assigments set
statically? Right now, they are all
set to dynamic VLAN, and I have to enter the MAC addresses within the
DHCP database (also Cisco's
Network Registrar) to determine their rerspective scope (subnet/VLAN)
As far as I know, you don't have to tell it anything. Just don't
enable zone transfers to the netreg machine.
Someone correct me if I'm wrong. We only have one (real) DNS, so we
don't do any zone transfers.
