tail /var/log/messages
(this is Red Hat 7.1, so your syslog might be a different file name)

You could always put the server in debug mode, run the script, and see what
happens from the DHCP server side of things.
Do this by stopping DHCP (using dhcpdctl stop)
and then starting it using the following command
dhcpd -d -f
I will put it in console mode, where you will see all the traffic that the
server generates and receives.
Unfortunately, if your using this on a live network, that could be alot of
traffic, and there will be the few seconds of downtime that you can't avoid.

We've had NetReg running well for the last month. The problem we've
encountered is with one subnet is the client receives the initial address,
the after the re-boot, no subsequent address is given. The dhcpd.conf looks
good. The systems shows as being registered. But it just won't pickup a
"good" address.
