Steve,
We ask users to reboot their system. Technically, running winipcfg and
doing a release all and then a renew works but we also needed to give
our dhcp server a minute to reload its configuration once the client has
registered.
the strange behavior I noticed during win95 testing of NetReg was that
the client would keep their old IP but incorporate the new DNS servers
into the list of old DNS servers and use them in round-robin.
asking clients to reboot just made all the headaches go away.
