Yes.
It's a standard network design. You configure a "Helper Address" (Cisco Speak, other vendors use a different Keyword) to allow the Router to forward the broadcasts to the DHCP server.
Just keep in mind that the server will respond with an answer based if you have configured a subnet for it or not.
to see the responses the server is giving, issue the following command from the command line. (assuming a standard installation)
tail -f /var/log/messages
You need to be a SuperUser (or root) to execute the command
it will scroll the contents of the log across the screen. hit Ctrl C to cancel.
